Bitcoin still isn't using the amount of energy that is used to power the air conditioners in all those ATM huts.

Further, bitcoin miners are setting up in places that have surplus power, balancing loads.
Bitcoin miners are developing power sources that no one would have tried because with out the miners, it is monetarily untenable.

I am starting to think that bitcoin has CREATED more electricity for the world than it is using.
But, that would be a hard number to measure.
