In the future "compromise" will be seen as a stupid, silly thing to do.
If the solution is not at least win-win, then it isn't even worth the paper to write it down.
Compromise means neither party gets what they want.
And loses the most important thing.
We, the human race, are like children, we have not grown up and learned to negotiate yet.
Laws should be passed by at least 90%.
If 90% of the people / legislators do not support it, then it is not a law.
If 90% of the people aren't already following it, than the law is tyranny or not a law(something to ignore).
And so, the law is merely stating what we will do to the law breaker.
(There will always be some outliers / criminals who will not agree with a law persecuting their criminal acts)
