If i was running a large corporation, these jobs would have been cut last Christmas season.
The writing was all over the wall.

The only reason they are going to start laying off people now is to make everything worse.
(well, that is the only reason i can think of)

Remote jobs are among the most highly coveted positions today.

And only boomer bosses are so idiotic and set in there ways that they need to see their employees in the nearby cubicle.
(or, again, these people are evil, and want to increase the level of pain)

Future companies will do almost everything remotely.
Big office building? Who needs that?
Cheaper to rent a meeting hall when you need one... if you ever need one.
