Only if you accept a fictitious, enclosed, encapsulated system can you say anything like what you said above.

So, what about those island which had giant stone wheels that were used as money?

Anyway, what you forgot in this argument, is what i said.
When you get mostly self-sufficient group, then what is valuable, is what is always valuable.
Rarity.

Things made by artisans and inventors.
Things that cannot be made by the group.

As in Indian-trades, steel knives and glass beads.
Things not a single native american could make.

When getting something from someone, you MUST give of equal energy.
The imbalance can become life destroying if not kept in balance.

Now, yes, i can fully get on board with the evils of energy stealing.
Taking OUR resources and selling them to us for more of our life/work.
This is not a good thing.

A money-less society will not exist. We understand money, and will continue to use it until we come up with a better concept that keeps track of exchanges and helps to balance them.
