What i said is that the earth is NOT a ball.

Do you see what you did there? In your reply and your post?
You have all these assumptions, and use them to test (conspiracy) theories.

What i should state, about the earth is:
The earth is not a ball of the current designated size and/or light does not travel like we think it does and/or space is curved in a way that we haven't even begun to investigate.

My belief?
The earth is a Merkabah.
I believe that the earth that we see is painted on the (for lack of a more correct term) inside of a toroid.
That the earth is a 3D space, flat in every dimension. And this is rolled up in higher dimension into a space sealed unit.

Now, the scientific method, and its corollaries:

You cannot prove a theory. You can disprove it.
One disproof and the theory is void.

But, that is the way of science.
Knock one theory down
try to build up another theory
try to knock that one down... repeat

In application example.
See that ship going out of sight?
theory: we are losing sight of it because it is going over the horizon.
disproof: we watch with our naked eye it disappearing, but we pull out binoculars, and we can see it clearly once again, all the way down to the water line. Thus, it has not gone over the horizon.
(or light bends over the horizon)
