Many people put much thought into writing the book
It has tons of information on the topic
Is it smarter than you?

The book is not self aware
Even if it was a marvel of technology and could move words around.

A computer is no more than a book.
It cannot learn to do anything new.
There isn't a computer out there that will conceptualize 2. 0 and 1 is all it knows.

Awareness does not happen in the brain.
The brains is just a super complex crystal radio listening to aether broadcasts.
It is not where thought occurs

So, the idea of making some silicone as complex as the brain, and viola!
It is thinking? is preposterous.

The idea of the singularity is neat to ponder,
but in the future it will be one of those things that is relegated to old thinking
like using leaches, or thinking the earth is a ball flying in space.
