Why are they still building these crappy, piles of poorly insulated sticks?
The first step when considering a safer place to live is build with better, more durable products.
And, passive solar heating should be the #1 concern.
Because soon, it is going to be much more costly to heat that cracker jack box.
(from much colder winters, longer storms and also the higher cost of heating materials)

That said, it is interesting that people aren't looking at the new weather patterns.
Moving to safety? Well, maybe not.

Florida will soon submerged.
The mississippi will overflow its banks and create an inland sea.

And, where are you going to put the greenhouse on any of those houses pictured?
