Ross is incorrect here. However, within the context he uses it, and within the confines of two people who want things to work out, it is a good guideline.

This is also tied in with how most people are raised. Being punished for doing something wrong.
Then, add in fairness, and other people should be punished for doing you wrong. It's only fair.

There are a lot of instances where people want to hurt others because they want control, or power.
And communication doesn't work at all if one of the parties doesn't want a resolution.

Now, about V's reactions and you not understanding. This comes from you not understanding women.
I can tell you lots about this, but the kind of people that follow your blog and hive-community are very set against these truths ever being uttered. Needless to say, much of what you have been programmed with, and your bias as a male, lead to a lot of conclusions that are completely false.

In the end i think it was mainly because i had done so much for her over the course of three weeks

Basically, as the man, you failed to do your job.
And, although you worked things out this time, you still have a large strike against your manhood in her mind.

I suggest you build a fence.
Strong fences mean good neighbors.

You should be able to get a roll of deer & rabbit wire and go around your laundry area.
