Silver isn't in the same position as GameStop
First, this market is rigged from both ends.
SLV can create more shorts and create more silver.
Further, they can just cash you out.
So, they really can't do the short squeeze on SLV.
They may be able to do it on the comex, but then its not a flood of little guys (you have to be a big boy to trade on the comex).
The little guys can go out and buy actual silver coins, but this really doesn't affect the market.
All it does is make higher premiums, which just get bought out, and nothing more is sold.
Thus, it would be great if silver could break through its manipulation, but i do not see that happening until silver becomes so precious as to become a national security issue. (and yes, that will happen soon)
