The problem is

everything you say can and will be used against you...

There is no officer friendly, there is only officer who smiles while looking to stab someone in the back.
Surveillance could be good if there was actually a group of people looking out for everyone's well being.

But there is only a group of people looking to make your life miserable, to fine or imprison you.

"against you"

Now, with all of these license plate readers you would think..
"my car got stolen, i just go to the police and they will find it"

But nope, you rarely hear of people getting their cars back (unless it was just a neighbor who "borrowed it")

I have even heard of when someone reported a stolen car, the police officer said, "that's really a shame".

So, it looks like all of the surveillance does very little to actually catch thieves and return stolen property.

Again, it all "against you" and not for you.
