I HATE the metric system !

In the Imperial system, every unit has a solid use and meaning in the scale it gets used.
(of course this means that conversion between units can be difficult )

Lets take the inch.
In wood working, for human sized objects, inches are awesome.
Usually two digits describe accurately everything you would make for say a cabinet or a table.
Centimeters are horrible for describing person sized things. Usually three digits and sometimes four.

You can divide the foot into 2s, 3s, 4s, 6s. You can only divide a meter 2s and 5s. And 5s are pretty much useless when building something.

And the metric system is even poor at science.
Sure, you can convert water (at room temperature, at sea level) from liters to meters but how often are you converting water? You have to multiply everything else by a conversion factor... sooo, you are multiplying everything anyway... what did you gain?

Further, the universe is base 12.
It will become painfully obvious here shortly. That when describing anything dealing with the universe, using a base 12 just make everything fall into place.
So, the whole base 10 of metric... will be completely useless for science.

And lastly, the metric system is supposed to based on measurable phenomena, but it is not.
The meter is based on the wave length of light, but since the measurement always changed, the meteorological society got together and set it. So, the metric system is based on a number that some "scientists" pulled out of their asses.
