This is a really hard question. What would i do with a time machine?

I would take it apart to see which time theory they were working with.

Here's the problem... time travel is easy.

However, not many here could actually make it to Rome.
What date do you set it for?

I bet most learnded folk would set the way back machine to 2,000 years ago.
And they would find themselves not in the time of the Roman empire.

Caesar was probably closer to 1,200 years ago.

Yes, our time-line and history are that messed up.

Further, you want to go back to the age of dinosaurs...
And, you will probably find yourself in an age of advanced human civilization.

Because that time line is completely fabricated.

We are the 13th advanced human civilization on this planet.
The dinosaurs were concurrent with us.
You know all those stories of knights fighting dragons? Yeah, they were giant lizards.

There is almost no record of anything past the 3rd advanced human civilization ago.
The world has been changed too much.

We haven't even accurately found Atlantis. And that was only 2,000 - 2,500 years ago when it blew up.

And then i really need to discuss time and how you can't really go back in time and change things.
But... bah, that complete sentence is false. You can go back in time and change things, but that time will be in the future. And you won't be able to return to the "now" (year 2020) that you remember.
