• Property tax (aka property rent payments)
• Income tax (aka extortion)

So, you don't just have to make enough money to get the stuff you need, a well, a garden, a farm house, you have to continually make enough money that the govern-cement doesn't take away the stuff.

Its an evil system. So, you have to work, in my estimation, 40 hours per week to stay above water.
When, your actual necessary expenditure should be around 10 hours per week at our technology level.
