I hate the word "the rich" because it really is not one cohesive group.
Nor is a group that is all guilty of money hoarding.

The rich could be classed:

  • entrepreneurs that made it big
  • old money
  • rentiers (people who make money off of the flows of cash or selling govern-cement indulgences.)

Now, the biggest problem is that all the rich have one thing in common, they can't be taxed.

Such as, they may have millions in stocks, or stock options, but until they sell them for dollars, there is no taxable event. There is nothing to tax.

The entrepreneur usually has more expenses than they have taxable income. There is nothing to tax.

So, we have people who see the rich, and also think money will solve all my problems. They have more than they need, they should share.

The thing the poor do not realize is that 5% of the people pay 50% of the taxes. They are already paying way more than their fair share.

The other thing is that they do not realize money printing (fractional reserve lending) is what is causing them to be poor.
