i have tried, unsuccessfully, to inform people that
"healthcare is not a right"

They could not understand that if it was a right, then you would have to force some doctor to work on some people.

Their response was, why would a doctor be forced to work on someone?

Neither could they understand that for every 10 units of healthcare wanted there only exists 9 units of healthcare.

They responded, why don't we just buy some more?

How do you deal with such people that are missing fundamental understanding of reality?

(And thanks to Obomba-uncare we now have 11 units of need and only 8 units of supply)
