Yes there is a huge difference.

The one on the right just wants the money and can be reasoned with

The one on the left could want anything.

• for you to respect them
• any large amounts of money in your possession.
• at least one of your weekends in 'traffic school'
• for you to pay your extortion money (and don't forget our friends the insurance companies)
• can be completely unreasonable
• has a good chance of shooting you in the back if you give them your car and run for it.
