So, you put a person in a box, but provide them with all the food they need, warmth and shelter, why do they try to get out of the box?
What you are trying to convince me of is akin to keeping someone in the box. You believe that the material substance you are providing is all they need.
Your statement: "If all the things get made, then why should anyone care about how?"
What a horrifying life you are proposing.
You say you are not working on a utopia, but in my view, you are working on my hell.
But, you do not see it. Man does not live by bread alone...
What you are creating is a world where you think everyone will have enough, and be satisfied, but instead you are building a world where people's souls get ground down and people will lash out against the walls, but since they can't see them, they will start a war.
Between sugar pines (what makes good paper pulp) and hemp, it really depends on your location. Growing and selectively harvesting from a forest is in many cases better than a field of hemp.
