Most people dislike change because in the past it has usually meant something bad or something annoying.
Most of the change we see is govern-cement taking away rights.
This is further complicated by the stories we are "taught" in school, like the govern-cement is their to help us, and that banks protect our money.
So, when we hear that the banks will be gone, we wonder who will protect our money?
Its like spreadsheets and databases.
Most people can comprehend a spreadsheet.
Most people do not comprehend a database.
They can see a spreadsheet
but a database, for the most part is a black box.
The things i will be looking forward to in the near future are:
- Hadron Collider being closed and turned into a museum.
- CRISPR technology being thrown in the trash
- Autonomous vehicle plans being discarded.
- The internet of things being scrapped.
All of these will happen because the underlying premise will be found to be false.
Like, self driving cars are the absolute ideal thing for someone who has to drive in rush hour traffic each day. But what if all those jobs are gone and/or the commute is gone?
And what if the real reason behind self driving cars is for the govern-cement to take over your destination?
All of these things listed would be the next logical step of where we seem to be going. So, how do you plan for the underlying need / premise changing?
