Lets start with subconscious and unconscious.
These are more accurately described as closer to source thinking.

Your unconscious mind deals with all the things in the universe, sorting what is relevant.
Your subconscious mind literally paints the world you see.

Even the rocks on this planet are alive.
The earth is alive.

Do you care for the oxygen you consume?
It cares for you and offers itself for your life.

If you go into the mind of wild animal, you will find almost no thought.
But in dogs, you find thought and dreams.

Or, you can look into the minds of parrots, wild and pets.

Now, you can say that plants have less thinking awareness than animals, and so you are bringing less pain into the world by harvesting plants instead of harvesting animals. This is true.

But, i feel you are being very hypocritical and trying to use shame to hurt people.

When i brought up becoming a breathairian, you told me you can't do that.
When i told you i cannot become a vegetarian, you continue to tell me that i should stop eating meat, or... i am doing as much harm as eating your family members.

Fortunately, as this planet grows in spirituality, we (all things) will stop eating each other for life sustenance. (the lion really does lie down with the lamb) Unfortunately the world becomes far more devoid of animals and plants. (they aren't needed, they don't grow)
