In the near future we will make many new discoveries. I say discoveries, because "inventions" would be the wrong word.
We will discover them, like you would say, i discovered this lying on the floor, or in a back room in a dusty old office that hasn't been used in a hundred years.
Further, it is not an invention, because the words are actively used in science fiction vernacular. Everyone knows what they are, just no one has stumbled onto how to build them, and lived.
What is of note, but hard to digest, is these may come (may have come) from extraterrestrial aliens. It is hard to discuss this because aliens visiting us has been under the highest levels of hush hush. So, many people don't believe it at all, and other people believe it, saying "of course, i knew it!". But, there are many people, who if you gave ALL the information to, and described completely how it got here, would still be scratching their heads.
Some of these discoveries:
The silicon microchip. Where did it come from? It is almost as if it fell out of the sky, or the plans for it were beamed into one engineer's mind.
Before then, we were using vacuum tubes. We did everything with vacuum tubes. Made computers with them.
Now ask, where did we get diodes? We went out rock hunting. Granite is actually a semi-conductor. We had these electric devices with a bunch of electric wires that were dragged across the rock to find diodes and transistors, naturally made.
And then, someone, who worked for the right company, at the edge of the Black budget research. Who probably visited area 52, came up with and cast a doped silicon transistor.
Now, lets look at the theory that aliens gave this technology to humanity. That they crashed a flying saucer. And scientists went over it, and found "computer chips" and transistors. Now, you know how fine computer chips are now, imagine an advanced alien race. They could make things that we could even see with our most powerful microscopes. And, probably put the entire drive system on one chip. (an entire computer on one chip) So, how did we find it, analyze it, and reverse engineer it?
Probably because the aliens built the flying saucer, crashed it, specifically so we would open it up and find a silicon transistor. If this happened, who "invented" the silicon transistor? It is more appropriate to say it was found, or "discovered".
Or, it could be that that engineer had a stroke of genius, and just came up with the idea.
Aliens formed a crop circle just outside a radio telescope in Chilbolton. Describing how the communicated. And left a response to our Arecibo Message we broadcast out into space.
It appears, much to the chagrin of people operating radio telescopes, that the aliens in this galaxy use some kind of Galactic Internet. And that this is almost real time, across the galaxy transmission. (So long Theory of Relativity)
There are rumors of people who have happened upon the transmissions. And they are looking at trying to figure out its language and encoding.
Anyway, it is there, and all we have to do is look in the right place, in the right way, and blam! Wireless internet for the whole planet. And, we will be talking to aliens soon.
In Tibet, there are books on how to build flying saucers. There are books that tell exactly how to fly them. There are books that haven't even been translated yet. One person who knows Sanskrit may discover the next great "invention"
But, there are other paths. We have Lifters. Unequal transistors that charged to a high voltage start floating in the air, like a brick doesn't. All they have to do is build better transistors (Tesla called them electric condensors, and called them, natures motive force.) and learn to understand the frequencies of flight.
The bumble bee is too big to fly based on its wing size. Many people say it is vibration that causes the bubble bee to levitate. These people also believe the modern jet airliners use this "secret" to fly people all over the world. They site things like, the amount of fuel that is said to be used on a flight, does not actually fit in the wings, where the fuel tanks are said to be located.
Anyway, someone will happen upon the right frequencies, and we're off to the races. Flying car races.
We are looking forward to a very science fiction like future. Where lots of people will be discovering all kinds of things that will vastly improve our lives.
Medicines - Granny's old cure-all, will be discovered, and then someone will work out why it actually works.
Governments working - There are lots written about how to actually run a beneficial government. We will discover that keeping psychopaths out of it makes it run so much better. And giving tests to measure for compassion, will be the way of weeding out the psychopaths. I gave it to you all right there. Someone will find it and implement it. And government will finally start doing what they said.
Silver is a psychic metal - it is written about in all kinds of places, but few scientists have ever stumbled on to it. Soon, silver will be used to connect our bodies with computers. Probably with just a flake, stamp, something of silver, touching the skin, will allow our computer to read us, and unlock the computer based on us, our vibration. Not a retina scan, not a fingerprint, a much more intimate connection. Like, there is no two people who are the same, this will prove it.
We will probably stop calling these things "inventions" as we learn to comprehend how "inventing" happens. And that it isn't just one person who picks up on these ideas. These things are really much better called "discoveries"
