Many people have wondered, "Do we live in a simulation?"
Well, it is one way to look at it, our universe, our galaxy, all plays by certain rules. We have a smallest unit, a Planck Constant, which acts very similar to pixel on a computer screen. The world does not seem to render something unless it is looked at. (double slit experiment.) And that is just like "lazy rendering" used in video games. And there is so many other similarities.
But, where the "simulation theory" goes off the rails is that people think that there is a server, that there is a programmer/developer that is running it. The thing is, that it is us. A part of us. We are both the player, and we are the game's designer.
The problems come up when we try to include other players, and time. Then we get into timey-wimey stuff.
This is really hard to explain, because most people get it wrong, even when they are told it correctly.
"There is only you." When people hear that, they think that it is ok to just run wild and do anything they want.
What most people miss is "it is all you". Everything you destroy, was you. Every heart that you broke was you. Every life you terminated, was you. And, the biggest thing is that everything in your world is a puzzle piece. Everything has meaning to you. And without it, your puzzle is incomplete. Every piece has it place. There isn't any spare pieces. There isn't any duplicates. There isn't any piece that is not needed.
When shaman say, "i greet another me", they aren't kidding. They know that this is all connected.
I told you all, this gets complicated.
So, we have person Suzy, and we have person Brent:
Suzy is playing in her own world, her own simulation.
So is Brent.
In Brent's world, Suzy is a construct created by Brent.
In Suzy's world, Brent is a construct created by Suzy.
No, really.
And there are differences between the "real" one and the projected one.
A lot of information travels back and forth between the parts of ourselves that project the world we think is real.
Now, think about leaving a corpse in Suzy's world as Brent dies. It really is Suzy, placing a reminder that Brent terminated this connection. (The "physical" connection.)
Imagine if we just had bodies made of light, and so, when we croak, we just fade away. Well, we do have bodies made of light, but we have an agreement to leave a corpse. Because we are all playing a game called "reality".
And this "game" of "reality" has a lot of players in it. We, on this side, call it the "Collective Consciousness". We humans tend to have things backwards, because we think of everything from our point of view. Instead of as we are, the focal point of a lot of consciousness playing this game.
There is no past, there is no future (not as we envision them)
There is only the ever-present NOW.
However, we can, and do, explore multiple possibilities as we come across them. As we go, these things become very entangled. And so, we are in multiple places at the same time.
What we are doing is splitting our focus. And we do this because we want to explore all the possibilities. (actually, only the important ones, and many splits lead to the same place, and recombining occurs. Like, if you decided to take a different route on the way home from work.)
If you are one who has discovered your past lives… well, they are NOW. You only view them as being in the past.
Our "past" and our "future" are part of the NOW. They come into being as this NOW is created. They are what you believe, and they are not real nor solid. They can be changed. (and this change will propagate through all the beings interacting with it)
You might think of it as a computer game, where you have many save points and want to explore all the endings. You, of course, don't want to play through the WHOLE game each time to explore the different ends, so we split our focus, and explore the forks all at once. AND, we are also the game developers, so we may create new paths/endings as we are going.
The thing about "Simulation Theory" is that we immediately jump to, "that means its not real", and you could say that. But it is more accurate to say that it is all real. If the movie made you jump, that is a real experience. Although we all know it is just a projection on a screen. And, if you follow all the logic of "Simulation Theory", you would call it alllll real. This is as real as it gets. The ramifications are long lasting, important and meaningful.
You could say that every time you "accidentally" jumped/fell into the lava while fighting Bowser was a very important lesson for you/your soul. So, respect people's choices for crashing their car, or doing seemingly stupid things. It's just a game after all.
We need to ride that line, the balance point between thinking that it is all real, important, serious AND that this is just a game, when we die it is as easy as walking through a door. Don't take things so seriously.
