October has historically been a very interesting month for global financial markets and particularly stocks. Some of the biggest reversals and crashes have happened in this month. I think a big part of the reason why is because of the reporting cycle, however big changes in sentiment can be hard to explain. Often it’s just a case of “It is what it is” and you don’t really need to know why October is such an important month….it just is.
I like to do my own research and form my own opinions, but there are a few alternative news channels and analysts who I like to follow because they often will flag something that I need to look into and verify for myself. One of those is a guy called Alessio Rastani, who regularly posts videos on Youtube. I’ve been following him for years and he often does get things wrong, but he’s right more often than he’s wrong and he uses a good mix of contrarian and technical indicators to form his analysis. I’ve come to respect his insight even though his videos sometimes can be a bit repetitive and he is often a bit of a fence-sitter....but not this time.
His latest video is highlighting some significant technical indicators that show major trendlines breaking down and that strongly suggests we might be entering a new Bear Market in established financial markets. In fact he seems pretty convinced of it and has made a pretty big call in announcing “It’s Over” so I am watching closely because if he is right then it will likely have a significant impact on the Crypto and Precious Metals markets.
Considering current world events it would be foolish to think the recent market activity is not correlated to what’s going on geopolitically. Rastani does not really look at the Fundamentals of markets so I guess from my perspective he is just confirming to me that the markets ARE responding in a way that suggests current events could be the catalyst for a major downturn. Certainly it looks to me like a very good time to be stacking Gold and Silver. A short while back I was considering selling some of my stack to pay bills but there’s no chance I’m doing that now...
