The SGS Community on HIVE is currently in the process of raising fresh funds to support its Community Curation Project and we have already raised a few thousand HIVE to spend on Leasing HIVE Power over the coming months. It’s still a bit early to know how much, or how long the leases will run for because the funds are still coming in. However, it can take a little while for people to manage their Delegations so its never too early to put the word out and see who might be interested in leasing us some power. That way we can move quickly when we're ready.
The Members of SGS will of course have priority on any leases taken on, however I think that most of our members are already tapped out. After the members option expires we then typically have a Waiting List of non-members who are trustworthy to take on a Handshake Deal to lease their HP and then after that we have in the past used DLease to acquire leases via a 3rd party. Since DLease has shut down recently we’ll probably try and use the leasing feature on Hive Engine if we still have funds to spend. More on that later if we get that far...
The terms of the leases are 13.5% APR paid weekly, in advance, with a minimum amount of 5,000 HP per lease. If you’d like to lease SGS some of your HIVE Power or have any questions then please reach out to us on our Community Discord which you can join HERE.
