The first Halving of the PRECIOUS Token Airdrop has been scheduled in for October 25, which will be exactly 3 months since the PRECIOUS Token Airdrop Began. The idea behind the Airdrop was always to give our dedicated content creators of SGS an opportunity to accumulate some of the new PRECIOUS Token but it was never intended to be a worthless handout. This first Halving will effectively reduce the supply of new PRECIOUS Tokens and will therefore go some way to supporting the value of the token over the longer term.
The last 3 months has been a good period for SGS with plenty of great content being produced and our big Monster Raffle event was the first Use-Case for the PRECIOUS Tokens to be spent. It is still intended that further Use-Cases will be developed but for now we have a good distribution for the PRECIOUS Token with 53 accounts on the Rich List and a lot of our most dedicated SGS members are up there near the top. This is all pretty positive.
The Airdrop will continue in the same way that it has to date, except that after October 25 the number of PRECIOUS Tokens rewarded for each curated post will be half of what it currently is.
There are still some PRECIOUS Tokens available for resale on the Hive Engine Market so if anyone feels that they don’t have enough the opportunity is still there to accumulate. Those PRECIOUS Tokens are being sold by
