Earning Community Points for SGS with Ecency

You learn something new every day and today I learnt that the Ecency Project has an initiative to support HIVE Communities directly. So today I signed up the Silver Gold Stackers Community to start earning some extra Ecency Points on behalf of us all. Sincere thanks to the wonderful @melinda010100 from the Ecency Team for giving me the heads up about this initiative. I’m kind of muddling my way through all this sort of stuff on HIVE and slowly learning what I can, when I can, so I really appreciate a guiding hand when someone wants to take the time to help. But what does this actually mean for SGS?

You can read a bit about the community support initiative in the How to Use your Ecency POINTS guide but in a nutshell what this looks like is our master community account @hive-136819 earning extra Ecency Points every time there is an Ecency Post published in our HIVE Community. At this stage there are probably only a few of us posting through the Ecency website and only a few of those are posting into the Silver Gold Stackers Community but sure enough these points will start stacking up and we can use them for Upvotes, give them out as prizes for competitions, raffle them off to raise funds or whatever. If you want to keep track of the community points being accumulated you can see the Ecency Wallet for @hive-136819 right HERE

It’s not every day that you get offered additional value for doing something that you were already doing, so the smart thing to do is to jump in and make the most of it! Of course if there is a little bit of extra incentive for our members to use the Ecency website to post then that’s a Win for Ecency and if there is a little extra reward for our community then that’s a Win for SGS. There you have it. Another Win – Win situation. I love it!
