The Ukrainian operation in the Kursk Oblast is exerting a significant defensive, logistical, and security impact on Russian territory. The UAF has blocked some roads and railways that the Russians used to supply equipment and occupation forces to the front in Ukraine.
To contain the offensive on its territory, the Russian government is introducing a state of emergency in other regions and continuing to recruit volunteers for the army. This is according to a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
