The European Union has proposed new sanctions against Chinese companies accused of supporting Russia in developing strike drones used in Ukraine. Restrictions are also planned on Russian oil tankers and measures targeting companies aiding Moscow in evading sanctions.
The proposed sanctions list includes over 50 individuals and 30 entities, including Russian military manufacturers, Chinese firms supplying drone components, and companies from other countries linked to the provision of prohibited technologies. The restrictions will affect assets, travel, and shipping services.
This will be the EU's 15th sanctions package since the start of the full-scale invasion.
