Welcome to this weeks Drop in the Ocean roundup, bringing you all the great posts shared in Mondays show.
Our Drop in the Ocean topic for the week was Cooperation, and I am sure many of us have experienced both the good and bad aspects of this.
When it goes well, cooperation is something we strive for. On the flip side, when you are not able to find cooperation in a group you get the phrase...
"If you want it done right you have to do it yourself."
Cooperation might seem optional but is at the core of all things great and small. From the most grand plans, to the survival of a species, we will all be better if we are able to cooperate.
Thank you to all attendees who cooperated in making this weeks Drop in the Ocean a great show yet again. Time to visit all the great posts presented as we dive right in...
The votes have been rolling in from the attendees of the show and we have the posts ready to share with you all.
The top two voted writers will 'level up'. When a member has leveled up, they will receive a daily upvote from the BuddyUP account at 50%. The member keeps their level for 2 weeks, unless they level up again on DITO within those 2 weeks. Now, let's find out who gains a level this week...
Cooperation can be found everywhere in nature between different species, but more importantly, it can be found within a species. Cooperation is perfectly demonstrated in this homage to our favourite marine mammal, the dolphin.
A pod of dolphin can swim better, and more efficiently,
and hunt and gather more efficiently together than alone.
@BluefinStudios gives us a front row seat to one of the oceans most efficient hunters allowing the pod to thrive. This can only be accomplished if all the dolphins in the pod cooperate.
Apart from just hunting for food, cooperation within the species is one of the most relevant characteristics which will determine whether they will flourish or go extinct in the years to come.
The species can be more efficient,
and spend more energy developing its brain.
The existance of many species rely on this cooperation from within, allowing them to reach a higher level in their evolutionary chain. This is a great example of cooperation using a dolphin pod, with many interesting facts and considerations combined with great writing in true Bluefin style.

The frustration of learning to do anything new can take its toll and some may give up right there and never return. Others like our own @Andysantics48 will see it as an opportunity to create a humorous poem.
I'm learning to draw, it's hard as can be
Why won’t my hand draw what me eyes see
She has had great success in her new endeavour of drawing, this of course is all reliant on her hand and eye working together, cooperating to create the image she can see clearly before her.
With a little perseverance and practice the parts required to accomplish your task will start to cooperate, providing a glimmer of hope in what seemed a futile endeavour.

Many artist, and anyone learning a new skill, will surely be able to relate to this humorous poem depicting Andy's improvement in drawing.
A great job at showcasing the value of cooperation when learning something new, you will surely nod your head in agreement as you read her post over here.
