A few weeks ago, I told you about a take-away pizza place at the Kalvin metro station named Trio Pizza. That is a truly cheap and very tasty pizza with a good crust, so I decided to check out and try the pizza slices at Baker's Pizza at the Kelenfoldi Railway station in Budapest (it is also a metro station).
As you can see, the price of a pizza slice is 350 Forint, which is a bit more than 1 Euro. Compared with prices around Europe, that might not be so expensive, but comparing it with the brilliant pizza slices at Trio Pizza at the Kalvin square (250 HUF, 0.8 Euro) that is still much more. But, is it worth the extra money?
To be honest, not at all. I had no trouble eating the pizza slices I bought here at Baker's Pizza, but the crust wasn't as crispy and it didn't have the same airy feeling like a good pizza should have.
In other words, this is perfect if you just want to eat a fast pizza slice, but if you want to eat brilliant pizza, then there are many places in Budapest which will give you a better treat.
I have got to say, the slice looks really good, but still - it lacked some of the characteristics that I prefer in a good slice of pizza.
You can find the place in the underground part of the Kelenfold station, just next to the metro entrance or to the different railway tracks!
