Cold drinks along the River Danube in Budapest

There are lots of restaurants in Budapest, but not many of them will let you sit down and enjoy a cold drink in the sunshine next to the Danube. But, there are a couple of places that will help you get this done, and if you are in the Southern parts of Budapest, the perfect place to go is towards the so-called Dunaparti Megallo! (it means Stop by the banks of Danube).

This is a place where you can find three different bars/restaurants. One is for drinks, one is for pancakes and ice-cream, one is for Hungarian specialties... and I forget, one will give you more international food. So, there are four different companies running their businesses here, though all are registered with the same address. I have visited all of them, so I will write more articles about the other places later!

Here you can see an image of the bus from which you can buy cold drinks. Here they have beer, Hungarian fruit spirits, spritzel, wine, water, soft drinks, and lots of other delicious drinks of a cold day.

Here I have just bought a cold Coke and a cold Sprite, and what better way to enjoy such drinks than along the River Danube in Budapest on a nice summer day? This is both romantic, enjoyable, and you can even enjoy a nice stroll along the banks of the Danube after your drink from this area!
