The world today has evolved a lot. Cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies have added a great value to it. Cryptocurrency is basically used on a daily basis by individuals and organisations. And the Cargo line is not an exemption. I would like to introduce to you a well designed smart contract, cryptocurrency platform, decentralised global platform known as CargoCoin.

What is CargoCoin?
The CargoCoin project extends to all trade and transport area which includes the shipping industry (containers, bulk, liquid bulk), inland transportation (truck, railway) , air cargo (transportation by Planes drones) and all other new ways of transportation such as pipeline transport, space cargo etc.

CargoCoin connects all forms of transportation and converts it’s functionality into one and allows a whole lot of interconnection amongst them.

CargoCoin was established basically to utilise all these various forms of transportation, creating a secure transfer and a reputable storage method using the smart contract technique and also making it a payment unit for services freight, and cargoes.

CargoCoin unlocks the full potential of blockchain cryptocurrencies to work not just as a means of payments and store value, but also as a unique way of sending, receiving, rejecting and signing of documents and all other related processes.
The CargoCoin would be based on the latest ER223 standards, compared to the formal ERC20 standard. The ER223 brings about more advanced and universal ways for handling smart contracts that would be required for the project.

The size of the transportation industry is drastically increasing, the value of the seaborne trade costs over $12 trillion and the value of freight rate is USD380 billion as at 2017. The shipping industry is one of the largest economic sector but it still lags behind in technological advancement.

In our world today, paper documents are issued for all shipped cargoes no matter the means of transportation. All documents are sent by courier which is time taking and leads to waste of funds and resources. These ways are expensive and sluggish. Original documents delivery delays which causes unplanned costs and the depreciation of that particular asset.

The CargoCoin blockchain technology would revolutionise the means of transportation and eradicate the problems they face by these various ways;

• Reducing Frauds
CargoCoin would greatly reduce the risk of fraud and would eradicate it fully by not releasing payments until the other party has set its conditions and those conditions been met with all proof available or a secured smart escrow utility

• Reduces Cost
CargoCoin would reduce cost and compared to the high charges that are charged through processes by banks, courier, insurers, agents etc

• Minimising Delays
CargoCoin would avoid delays by making exchanges instant and reviews of documents would be more efficient and fast. The Blockchain is always at worl and doesn’t depend on human intervention

• Securing Information
CargoCoin is a secured platform. It relatively works with the blockchain technology. There would be no form of information leakage by intermediaries lkke banks and agents. Informations are fully private and highly classified.

CargoCoin aims at developing all related transportation means from Shipping to cargo and air.. It would make transportation and trade more efficient and highly productive
