Season number (lucky) 13! The rewards rework is coming up quickly and this was the second to last season before it drops. While I am looking forward to the rewards rework, it is coming right when I seem to have gotten the hang of the old system. I was able to make the quick climb to silver at the start of the season and spent most of it collecting Silver I rewards chests. While some craziness happened over the course of the season with the crypto markets and therefore the DEC rewards, my in-game season went about as well as I could have hoped for.

The numbers here are a bit of an improvement over previous seasons - I ended up 100 rating points higher than ever before, and my rating peak was a whooping 250 point improvement over last season! I'm not sure whether the ladder conditions changed or if I made improvements in my gameplay, but I'm happy with the results.

Overall, very decent rewards cards this season! While I didn't get any legendries and it is looking as though I'll be closing out the old rewards system without sighting a gold foil legendary, epic, or even rare, I did manage to get 2 regular foil epics and TWO gold foil commons. This is a lot better than I have seen in any recent seasons, and something I'm very happy with.

I continued growing my rental income this season. I noticed that this season I started earning more DEC from rentals than from ranked play. While this is more a function of ranked play DEC pools dropping and the rewards cards more than make up for the difference, it is interesting to know that I can earn a decent amount of crypto from renting out my collection.

The SPS airdrop is ending soon - just about 2 months left to go. I am approaching the 1.2k SPS threshold to enter additional tournaments so that is something to look forward to. I'm also gaining more vouchers from my staked SPS. I'm most likely saving that for a few Riftwatchers packs, but I am keeping a close eye on the market just in case anything crazy happens when the node sale happens next week.
Overall, a very successful season. Just one more season to go under the old rewards system, and then we've got a whole new one to learn. I can't wait!
