This was my eleventh full season playing Splinterlands, and I continued to make incremental progress by playing daily in the Silver leagues and growing my Collection Power. This season was a lot of fun for me as I got to try something out for the first time - the SPS reward tournaments! Overall I didn't see any huge gains this season, but I did have plenty of fun while playing, which is really all I can ask for.

I was able to make the day 2 jump up to silver and spent most of the season playing in the high silver leagues, collecting Silver I rewards chests. I finished this season with my highest win percentage yet - 62.9%! Though I suspect this was due in part to a couple of days where the matchmaking algorithm seemed to be a little buggy due to low volume of players.

As previously mentioned above, this was the first season where I was able to participate in SPS tournaments. My SPS count is still fairly low, but I qualified to play in the Noob Mining Expedition tournaments of various flavors and the Noob Chaotic Bronze Blunderbuss. As you may tell from my results, I didn't do particularly well in any of them. But the rewards structures are beginner friendly and I didn't have any tournaments where I lost my entry fee, and there were two tournaments where I was able to qualify for the second group stage. Overall I netted about 11 SPS profit, with only a 25 DEC expenditure. That's an exchange I would make any day!

A gold foil common is pretty sweet, though other than that rewards cards were fairly underwhelming this past season - no other gold foils, and not even any epics or legendaries. I am also still on the hunt to find an elusive Chaos Legion pack from my rewards chests. I was a little disappointed not to get any big hits, especially considering the fact that I was collecting Silver I dailies for more of the season. A bright spot in my rewards this season though were the DEC drops - I got a few largish chests which added up to 883 DEC in all, which is a fairly large win!

I managed to start making a profit in rentals this season by renting out extra collection power. This was a big step for me and one I'll be looking to build on for the future by reinvesting my rental profits into even more cards. The rental rates have been fairly high for two seasons running now, and if this continues then cards will be able to pay for themselves relatively quickly.

My SPS airdrops continue to grow as my collection increases, though the end of the airdrop is coming up quickly - just over 100 days left at the time of this writing. I hope to gather as much SPS as I can in order to get more voucher drops and to qualify for the bigger SPS tournaments - hopefully I'll be able to join more of the Bronze Blunderbuss tournaments soon!
This was a little bit of an up and down season with mediocre card rewards offset by DEC gains. The overall direction is definitely up though, and I really enjoyed being able to participate in SPS tournaments and to start renting out some of my own cards to actually be gaining some DEC from the rental market - here's to even more progress in this next season!
