Oxalis.
Two little fellas photographed in Poland few months ago. These guys not only have very photogenic little flowers but also leaves.. Specially the Oxalis triangularis, with dark purple ones. Nikon D5500

Reversed Helios.
These are the monochrome versions of two images I photographed a couple of months ago, using a reversed lens. This technique is somehow common and known as an alternative way to shoot macro. A pain in

Morning Steam.
A couple of images from the same sunrise and captured from the usual spot, my balcony. In this first one the sun is barely starting to apear behind the mountain, but an early birdie (literally) was already

The John Doe Strikes Again.
These two images were photographed last May, somewhere in the south of Portugal. I would love to tell you what this is, but unfortunately it's another one of those that I couldn't identify yet. It somehow

The Singing Berries Got Re-colored!
Kinda boring isn't it? Make no mistake, I don't really care about what you think about my "work" or about what I write. About, about, about.. yeah, kinda repetitive isn't it? Isn't repetition

The Moody Fluff Meets Monochrome.
A proper sunset with proper clouds. Maybe for some of you it's lacking some color though... Sony a7 + Tamron 70-300mm --- ISO 100 --- f/7,1--- 1/160 sec © 2019 @brumest. All rights reserved. I posted the

The John Doe Succulent.
I normally like to provide the names of our succulents when I post any image of them, but today I wont be able to. This one was offered to us by one of my aunts, last time we visited her. She's also a

Just Another Cloud Fix..
The best balcony in Portugal for sun gazing delivered again :p These two were photographed just with few seconds between them. This first one was captured with a slightest wider angle than the second.

Lets Keep On Fading..
Two images photographed last January in a close by natural park. As most of the times I used a manual lens wide open to shoot these. Wouldn't it be great if we could simply isolate what's important in

Early Sights..
Here's something I don't shoot in a while. A sunrise. My balcony has a very privileged location. I can watch sunrises and sunsets from it almost all year around. Even the industrial area few miles away

Bad Hair Day..
Actually, at this stage this is a normal hair day for these funny looking fellas. This is how Pasque Flower (Pulsatilla vulgaris) seed heads normally look like. The one right under was shot from above,

Thorny Bloomers..
One of our spiky cacti friends in full bloom. This one is a Sulcorebutia Canigueralii. The weird rocks you see are actually real lava pebbles. Not only good for decoration but also for feeding these strange

Blues..
Two shots captured from my balcony. The season for proper sunsets and sunrises is about to start again around here. Hopefully this one will compensate the lack of generosity from the the previous... Sony

Name It If You Can..
"Monochromus Wildus Flowerae Communis". That's what my flower expert told me these were, and I have zero reasons to doubt her, so I'll stick to it! In other hand.. There's anything out there

The Singing Berries..
Not really... but they have a funny name though.. Yew. Yes, that's the name, "Yew", also known as Taxus baccata. Funny looking fellas. Nikon D5500 + Sigma 105mm --- ISO 1250 --- f/11 --- 1/60

When things start decaying around what do you do? Shoot them! These are Hydrangea's leaves, that obviously already have seen better days. Still prettier than most of the humans I have the "pleasure"

Beauty In Decay..
Few Anemones already in a stage where most people don't find them attractive anymore. I still do. I really like the textures developed by flowers during their decay process, while getting dry and wrinkly.

Both these were photographed in the south of Portugal few months ago. In a garden's shady corner, where a little hint of light was shining over just few lucky leaves. It was one of those images that I
