I watched internet news that Oksudong area woud be redeveloped with huge apartment.
Despite being in the center of Seoul, because Oksudong had not been developed for a long time, it gave me nostalgia for something disappearing due to modernization. Oksudong had been a frequent filming location.
When I entered the Oksudong, I felt cold atmosphere without any people. Entering a vacant house gave me a sense of anxiety, scent and a little bit of warmth.
The possessions left behind brought me the reflection of their lives.
Useless and abandoned now …
An empty place, which used to be a lively home, will never vanish through my pictures.
