Leadership is not all about you as the leader, it is about everyone.

Dear Reader,

Overtime, in my quest to impacting people with leadership intelligence, I have met with several leaders in different organisations which include Business leaders, Religious leaders, Team Leads, Rising CEOs etc. I have sounded a every important reality in their hearings. I have always told them; it is not all about your wisdom, ideas, talents, exposures, certifications, insights and gifts, it is all about all of you(everybody) in the organisation they lead.

I have a friend who is presently working in an organisation where the employees are not given enough opportunity to maximise their potentials and abilities in form of getting along in the developmental processes of the organisation.

The organisation leadership lacks ability to care, love, inspire, and listen to the employees she leads. All the CEO knows how to do is to ask for results(productivity) at the detriment of their effectiveness.

All he looks for is their efficiency and not their effectiveness. Their life challenges do not concern him but his organisation's productivity.

Any leader who does this will think he is doing well enough in getting results but do not know that he is not getting the best out of the people.

Thinking about your employees or those you lead, training and retraining them, putting them rightly where they should be and caring and loving them are some of the keys to effectively getting the best out of them.

You might soon regret not effectively maximising your employees' potentials by having them express who they really are. Stop caging them! Your organisation will soon crash out if you are not careful.

Always bear this in mind as a leader, it is not all about you.
