Now what could I possibly be doing here on a Monday at 1:11pm while the rest of NY is sitting at their desks (well, besides the brave that actually take their lunch break) JUST THAT! I'm sitting here looking for work!
Its been a long haul! Moving here from Florida, getting a job that I thought was a great paying one, my first week here...I mean everything was going great, until I got let go 2 weeks later...Christmas morning...via text...and left looking like this
So, I have $1600 in rent due, cell phone due, food expenses due, trying to pay myself back from my move due and a load of other expenses called, moving to NYC and trying to have a life....all DUE, and here I am as I sit in the left corner of the restaurant trying to dodge being asked if I actually would like to order something, so I can sit with civilization while looking for work...
I mean buying a $4.00 coffee totally defeats the purchase of trying to MAKE money..right? well, I do have a huge craving for one of these espresso's right about now...
I have been on literally every site...Indeed, LinkedIn, Indeed, LinkedIn, Indeed, LinkedIn...oh wait! theres more than this! I must get on the others as well...but you feel my point, right? I could have sworn I would have at least landed ONE interview by now! I mean it is the 2nd week of January. I did my due diligence, I went on all the sites already and applied, applied, applied...and nothing? I just can't believe nothing! nothing! nothiiiinggg!
I have hope, but the 1% of panic is kinda starting to set in.
