Be worthy of your calling
I have been thinking about this subject lately until the lord helped me to understand. I also intend to share with us this entire wonderful message.
God has a purpose for everything he created and humans are the most valuable of all creation. Each and every one has a calling in his or her life. God knows what He has placed inside of you and therefore He has an expectation. The fig tree was cursed because it did not produce unto Jesus’ expectation. Matt 25:14-21 “For the kingdom is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey. Then he that has received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents. And likewise he that has received two, he also gain another two. But he that has received one went and digged in the earth, and hid lord’s money. After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them. And so he that has received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying lord thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. His lord said unto him,
well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over few things, I will make thee ruler, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.”
Some of the key things I want us to note in the passage above is as follows
He gave them according to their ability.
Their lord trusted them so much to be custodian over his properties. Heaven has trusted us much that we cannot afford to fail. We are the salt of the earth. We ought to preserve the world.
God predestined before time how everything should be done here on earth. God needs man to fulfill what He wants to do.
And in these last days, he has poured out his spirit richly to get the work done. God’s plan is not static such that only one person ought to fulfill it.
If you fail to help God gather souls using the gift he has given you, God will recruit someone in your office to carry on his will. His works are bound by time and shifts. Do not think God has run out of options that is why He is using you. We ought to value what God has placed in us. By divine calculations, God has a plan for any soul he want to be saved before he comes through men but if you fail, God will take away his scepter. When Elijah was running away from Jezebel, God reminded him that He has 600 people who has not bowed to Baal so he should not think He is the last option.
God needs men who are ready, to carry on with his assignment. I want to announce to us that we were compassed with a cloud of witnesses such that we cannot fail. John the Baptist reminded Israel that, they should not be boasting or see the office He has given them as an inheritance. God can raise descendants from stone. What is your calling in the ministry? How are you preparing yourself for the office?
A carpenter cannot do his work if he had been with a driver all his life.
God grants the office but it depends on man to prepare himself to take over the office.
PRAYERS POINTS
May God help you to identify your calling.
Ask him for strength to accomplish his purpose for your life
Finally, ask him to help you to do his will
A work half done is never paid; let us press on finish our course like Paul the apostle. Who was able to say in 2 Tim 4:7 "I have fought a good fight,I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:"
