It is very true. They make such a big deal about trying to get your money out but like you just said. It isn't your money. It's their money at that point. It makes it tough because if you drive or fly with too much cash they can confiscate it and make you prove it's yours. This causes a big problem. They want all these friction points to take another bite out of you.
