I think a lot of things go like that whether it's sports or women or crypto gains. The game keeps changing.

I sometimes wonder if the game has past me by at certain points. Because with some of this crypto related stuff I will think up ideas 💡 but will wonder if I'm romanticizing some structure that's from the past essentially.

It's really hard to invent a truely unique concept or change it enough to go viral. The talk of prediction markets went way back to at least 2014 from what i remember but then PolyMarket sort of became this extremely profitable thing for the creator. Same thing with Perpetual Contracts. BitMex seemed to be the first to roll that out and then the US Government was after Aurthur Hayes and BitMex just shut down I guess but we see these Perp contracts integrated into all these wallets and what not.

Pump Fun has been super innovative on features that had a viral effect.

Another thing is it is tough to act on stuff fast enough to beat everyone to market and displace the competition and market it correctly to dominate.
