WhaleShares went to a model where you manage your own reward pool so essentially it is a "tipping" platform. Depending on your WhaleStake determines how much more Whalestake you get each day. You Can claim it every day. This is a double edge sword.
No one wants to post so picture hosting isn't as expensive.
No one wants to post so the SEO funnel doesn't keep growing.
In the end I really see these sites as huge SEO funnels that can gain a lot of revenue from advertisements. Ultimately if the advertisements become lucrative enough to divert part of it back into buying the underlying coins and giving that to content creators who have high engagement and activity then that goes a long way to supporting the price and improving engagement. It propels itself forward.
Scorum has a model similar to this but unfortunately its prices are collapsing right now.
One user over there was saying he sold 0.1 ETH worth and it crushed the price. It is crazy the price has gotten that low on a working platform when the ICO was $1 for 1 SCR and now it is worth $0.004 for 1 SCR. It is sad for me to see actually because then coins with no actual utility or working platform will be worth way more. It is strange.
