There are so many issues with the US economy and other economies around the world but crypto is popping off which is an interesting scenario. Over 17 million people are over 60 days behind on their auto loans and at risk to get repo'd. Inflation has really been beating people down to a point where I will see people complaining they get a burrito bowl at Chipotle and it will be $19. Places like California raised their minimum wage so much that it is hard to get fast food for under $20. It's terrible out there. Gas prices have come down some. I think people are really just trying to go from point A to point B at this point. It has dipped under $3 / gallon in the Midwest.
A lot of people are having to work long hours or get second jobs. I was noticing this over a year ago but the situation continues to get more insane. There was a statistic I saw that said the highest amount of people working 2 fulltime jobs in the United States is at an all-time high.
The economy has sort of not totally broke for over a year after it seemed like some major cracks were forming. Guys online that haul trash in San Francisco are saying that things have slowed way down and they can tell by the amount of construction materials being taken to the dump. They said their are day laborers waiting around for work not getting anything. Cities like that are a telling sign and what I have seen in the midwest is companies that were begging for bodies 8 months ago might have some openings but they aren't begging for people to show up at this point.
People are somehow buying meme coins anyways. Hahahhahahh
