The British Post Office and the Fujitsu Horizon Project: when governments go fascist

I used to be a management consultant working on large accounting systems in the UK including work for various parts of the UK Government.

So I have some thoughts on the UK's Post Office and Fujitsu Horizon scandal and catastrophe.

An accounting system which falsely accused upstanding and innocent people of dishonesty was a catastrophe in the UK. And I can fully understand the way it happened.

I don't talk about this in the video, but a public ledger system like Hive would prevent this kind of crap. Which is why Government will always hate what we do here.
