How do I buy WBTC? Does that happen outside of Uniswap?

I notice there is no liquidity pool for WBTC and WHIVE yet. It seems to say that the first deposit of a pair sets the price. Is that what happened last night when someone paid a rather exorbitant ETH rate for some WHIVE?
