Hi friends,
The other day I did a post on the top uses of gold. Well, it’s time to do a post on the top uses of silver.
Silver mining is often a byproduct of mining for other minerals, but it is a useful for sure. Here is today’s question:
What is the largest use of mined silver?
A. Investment purposes
B. Medicine (wound care, medical coatings)
C. Industrial applications (electronics, solar panels, etc)
D. Jewelry and silverware
E. Photography
What is your guess?
Fun fact: In 2023, there were 831,000,000 ounces of silver mined, with Mexico taking the top spot at 24% of the total, followed by China and Peru each at 13%.
Thanks for coming by,
Brian
