Hi friends,
Precious metals have been strong as of late - Gold has risen up to the mid $1,400s per ounce and silver has rallied from the $14s to the mid-$16s. News has come out of unprecedented gold buying by European Union countries recently, and add in trade wars, widening federal deficits and governmental debt loads that seem insurmountable to overcome, except to the extent of printing new money- this all adds up to a rosy outlook for precious metals right now.
I continue to add gold and silver to my asset holdings and feel that buying before the next global recession and before governments start defaulting on their bonds is a smart move. I also feel like bitcoin is making strides toward mass adoption in the investment industry, so an allocation makes sense as a part of my asset holdings - I am not so confident on altcoins as a long term hold given their natural dilution and my perceived lack of true usefulness.
These are just some of my general thoughts, which have many more and complex points, but thought I would share a little today. People should analyze their own situation, economic outlook, risk tolerances, etc and make their own informed/responsible decisions.
Good luck,
Brian
