HI Friends,
This post is an entry into the weekly Show Us Your California contest hosted by @thesocalhive where we share an aspect of our California.
We have had a fair amount of rain this winter, which was needed to partially refill low water levels in many lakes and reservoirs. One other benefit is for the popular wildflower - the Poppy:
This is a flower that tends to bloom all at once and for a short period of time. When they do bloom, often in more desert areas, they turn the entire landscape the color of the Poppy. It is a sight to behold, and the Poppy bloom causes many city dealers to get out of town to check out the spectacle.
This Poppy was planted and is in a garden, however, the fact that it is blooming now means great thing to come this spring for the wildflowers.
Thanks for coming by and checking out a piece of my California.
Brian
