One of my stocks has been on a nice run as of late, ERJ:
Embraer is a South American airline manufacturer and has gotten a nice pop with all the Boeing troubles as more orders are coming in for their aircrafts.
Investing in individual stocks is more risky, but I have had much more success then simply investing in ETFs and Mutual Funds as your winners can really move the needle on a portfolio, whereas the performance is watered down when they are in a fund.
