The weather has been bad, which is good for gold:
When there are severe storms, the gold moves around in the mountains and redeposits in catch areas with the torrential currents and flooding. This makes gold easier to find - never “easy”, but often easier. Will still take a combination of effort, skill and luck to get some good gold, but the heavy rains give opportunities for us gold prospectors.
Time to start planning the next trip into the local mountains…
