Hi Friends,
Disney's stock went on a nice run today:
You would think an entertainment company like Disney would be struggling with theme parks and theatres closed but that has not been the case as it is +23% YTD. The key to their success is certainly not their ESPN holdings, but is certainly attributable to their Disney Plus subscription service.
A price increase was announced today to $8 per month for Disney Plus, which will be increasing revenue while few people will likely cancel. With Disney Plus and HBO Plus gaining traction, I see a tough road ahead for Netflix to keep up but they have been doing OK as well during the pandemic.
Thanks for coming by,
Brian
